TUSAŞ Hürjet Continues Its Rise in Europe

Spain has made a significant development by approving the purchase of Hürjet jets, one of the leading projects of the Turkish defense industry. This approval was announced during the Cabinet meeting held on October 28.

The Cabinet stated that the decision regarding the acquisition of Hürjet jets also includes the procurement of an Integrated Training System (ITS-C) to replace the existing AE.09 (F-5) aircraft for combat and attack aircraft. The estimated total cost of this strategic decision has been determined to be 3 billion 120 million euros.

Emerging as a response to the need for modern training aircraft in the Turkish Air Force, Hürjet stands out due to its potential to increase domestic production capacity as well as opportunities for expansion into European markets like Spain. This is an important step for the international recognition of the Turkish defense industry.
