The Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) has shared the income distribution statistics for the year 2025 with the public. According to the data, the largest portion of total income in Turkey is composed of 49.7% from salary and wage income. This rate represents an increase of 0.9 percentage points compared to the previous year.
In terms of entrepreneurial income, the highest share was taken by 18.3% from entrepreneurial income, which indicates a decrease of 2.5 percentage points compared to the previous year. Social transfer income ranked third with 18.2%. However, the agricultural sector had the lowest share of 2.8% in entrepreneurial income, indicating a decrease of 0.6 percentage points in agricultural entrepreneurial income compared to last year.
The share of the agricultural sector in entrepreneurial income remained limited at 15.6%, while pensions and widow-orphan allowances represented 89.3% of social transfers.
As of 2025, sectoral analyses have determined that the annual average income in the agricultural sector stands at 237,461 TL. This amount is currently below the 2025 minimum wage level. On the other hand, the highest annual average income in the service sector was recorded as 426,045 TL.
Compared to the previous year, the highest annual average income growth was observed in the construction sector at 79.0%, closely followed by the service sector with a 75.8% increase. In the agricultural sector, however, only a growth rate of 54.4% was recorded. This situation indicates that the income level in the agricultural sector remains weaker compared to other sectors.
