Nicholas Peach, the head of BlackRock's Asia-Pacific iShares division, stated that a 1% crypto allocation in standard portfolios could result in nearly $2 trillion in new flows in Asia. This highlights how small changes in asset allocation can transform the digital asset market.

The iShares unit of BlackRock has rapidly grown to nearly $53 billion in assets, boosted by the listing of the spot Bitcoin ETF (IBIT) in the US. It is noted that strong demand from Asian investors is linked to the acceleration of ETF adoption in the region.

Market regulators are taking steps towards broader crypto ETF offerings in regions such as Hong Kong, Japan, and South Korea, while industry leaders emphasize that investor education and portfolio strategy are critical for directing traditional finance capital into digital assets.
