TÜSEDAD announced the production costs of raw milk for the new year by calculating current feed prices and other expenses. The production cost of 1 liter of warm raw milk for January 2023 was determined to be 25.37 TL.
It was stated in the announcement that the costs increased by 6 percent compared to the previous month. The main reasons for this increase include the rise in gross minimum wage resulting in personnel costs rising from 10.5% to 12.5%, and the increase in feed prices causing the daily feed cost per animal to rise by 2.43%. Additionally, it was emphasized that the increases in slaughter prices are not sufficient to balance personnel and feed costs.
The recommended sale price for warm raw milk, determined by the National Milk Council (USK), was announced as 22.22 TL per liter.
