In line with Turkey's digital transformation goals, the cooperation between Türksat and Vodafone is shaped by the "Wholesale Level Data Flow Access Service, TV Service, and Support Services Framework Agreement Supplementary Protocol." This important protocol was signed by Türksat General Manager Ahmet Hamdi Atalay and Vodafone Turkey CEO Engin Aksoy.
As part of the signed agreement, Vodafone will provide fiber internet service to an additional 1.3 million households using Türksat's fiber infrastructure. With this development, the total number of households served by Vodafone through fiber infrastructure will reach 23.7 million.
This strategic cooperation will prevent redundant investments and ensure more efficient use of existing fiber resources. A new era is being initiated in Turkey's digital infrastructure through a public-private partnership model. Additionally, fiber technology, which offers high speeds and low latency, will provide access to a wide audience.
Ahmet Hamdi Atalay stated that this cooperation will accelerate the digitalization process of households in Turkey. Atalay said, "With this model, we will utilize our technological resources more efficiently and contribute to the country's economy."
Engin Aksoy drew attention to the importance of expanding the fiber internet network, stating, "With this partnership, we will contribute to Turkey's digitalization vision by providing uninterrupted high-speed internet to more homes and businesses."
