Ebru Özdemir, Chairwoman of Limak Holding, stated that geopolitical and geoeconomic risks have come to the forefront at this year's World Economic Forum. In an interview with Bloomberg HT, Özdemir expressed that this year's discussions will revolve around more complex and challenging global issues, following last year's theme of "trust."
Özdemir said, "We can solve such difficult problems through a call for dialogue. The business world is open and ready for this dialogue." She emphasized that she will lead an important session on infrastructure and living spaces in Davos this year.
Özdemir stated that the significance of the strategic Corridor in Central Asia has been underscored once again with recent agreements. Highlighting Turkey's critical position in this process, Özdemir said, “Turkey is in a very strategic location in terms of both trade and energy corridors. A significant portion of the trade and energy lines will pass through Turkey.”
Özdemir highlighted the importance of the business world planning to realize this trade and energy infrastructure, noting that many pipeline, railway projects, and major infrastructure investments are expected in the upcoming period. “Relationships are taking a much more concrete shape through commercial partnerships. As the only representative of the private sector, I am eagerly looking forward to this session,” she stated.
