Turkey's Industrial Production Declined in September

Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) has announced the industrial production data for September 2025. According to these figures, there was a significant decrease in industrial production in September.

Performance of Sub-Sectors

When examining the performance of the sub-sectors of industry, the index of the mining and quarrying sector increased by 3.1 percent compared to the same month of the previous year in September 2025. In the same period, the manufacturing sector index decreased by 2.7 percent, drawing attention. In the electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning production and distribution sector, there was a recorded increase of 5.3 percent.

Monthly Change

In terms of monthly comparisons, in September, the index of the mining and quarrying sector increased by 1.2 percent, while the manufacturing sector index experienced a decrease of 2.3 percent. Additionally, a drop of 2.4 percent was observed in the electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning production and distribution sector.
