Turkey's Industrial Production Declines in September

Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) has released the industrial production data for September 2025. According to this data, there was a significant decline in industrial production in September.

Performance in Sub-Sectors

When examining the performance of sub-sectors in industry, the mining and quarrying sector index in September 2025 increased by 3.1 percent compared to the same month of the previous year. Meanwhile, the manufacturing industry sector index saw a notable decrease of 2.7 percent. The production and distribution of electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning sector recorded an increase of 5.3 percent.

Monthly Changes

In month-on-month comparisons, the index of the mining and quarrying sector increased by 1.2 percent in September, while the manufacturing industry sector index experienced a decline of 2.3 percent. Additionally, a decrease of 2.4 percent was observed in the production and distribution of electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning sector.
