Industrial Production in Turkey Decreased by 2.7% in September.

Turkey's Industrial Production Declined in September

Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) has announced the industrial production data for September 2025. According to this data, there was a significant decline in industrial production in September.

Performance of Sub-Sectors

When examining the performance of the industrial sub-sectors, the index of the mining and quarrying sector showed an increase of 3.1 percent compared to the same month of the previous year in September 2025. In the same period, the index of the manufacturing industry sector, on the other hand, decreased by 2.7 percent, drawing attention. In the electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning production and distribution sector, however, an increase of 5.3 percent was recorded.

Monthly Change

In the month-on-month comparisons, in September, the index of the mining and quarrying sector showed an increase of 1.2 percent, while the index of the manufacturing industry sector experienced a decrease of 2.3 percent. Additionally, in the electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning production and distribution sector, a decrease of 2.4 percent was observed.
