Turkey's Industrial Production Declined in September

Turkey Statistical Institute (TÜİK) has announced the industrial production data for September 2025. According to these data, a significant decline was observed in industrial production in September.

Performance of Sub-Sectors

When examining the performance of industrial sub-sectors, the mining and quarrying sector index in September 2025 showed an increase of 3.1 percent compared to the same month of the previous year. In the same period, the manufacturing industry sector index decreased by 2.7 percent, drawing attention. The electricity, gas, steam, and climate control production and distribution sector recorded an increase of 5.3 percent.

Monthly Changes

In month-on-month comparisons, the index of the mining and quarrying sector showed an increase of 1.2 percent in September, while the manufacturing industry sector index experienced a decrease of 2.3 percent. Additionally, a decrease of 2.4 percent was observed in the electricity, gas, steam, and climate control production and distribution sector.
