Former President Donald Trump, who has been in the spotlight recently due to his controversial statements, received a striking message from the White House following a 13-minute interview with CBS Evening News anchor Tony Dokoupil in Michigan.
White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt stated that Trump demanded the complete interview to be aired without interruptions. Leavitt said, "The President threatened to file a lawsuit if the full interview was not broadcasted."
CBS News quickly responded to Trump’s request, announcing that the interview would be aired in its entirety. The media organization stated, "From the moment we planned this interview, we decided to air it fully."
Leavitt emphasized in her comments that the American people deserve to watch President Trump’s interviews in full. Additionally, Trump had previously filed a lawsuit against CBS News regarding an interview set for 2024, resulting in the media holding Paramount having to pay 16 million dollars in damages.
