18 Million Students Back to Class After the Holiday

Continuing to the 2025-2026 Academic Year


The first mid-term break of the 2025-2026 academic year concludes today. During the holiday period, students engaged in relaxing and educational activities, and now they will return to their classes to continue their academic lives from where they left off. Approximately 18 million students across Turkey will take their places in classrooms after the 9-day break.

Exam Excitement Begins


This period will mark a critical process, especially for 8th grade and 12th grade students. 8th grade students are continuing their preparations for the central exam to be conducted as part of the Transition to High School System (LGS). This important exam will take place on June 14, 2026. Additionally, the Higher Education Institutions Exam (YKS), which is a pivotal stage in the higher education process for 12th grade students, will be held on June 21-22, 2026. These exams will be very important turning points that will shape the futures of the students.

Post-First Term Schedule


According to the schedule determined by the Ministry of National Education (MEB), the first term of the 2025-2026 academic year will end on January 16, 2026. The second term will begin on February 2, 2026 and continue until June 26, 2026. During this time, students will participate in an intense learning process and complete various lesson contents with their teachers.
