Turkey's Tourism Revenues Break Record: 50 Billion Dollars in 9 Months

The Minister of Culture and Tourism, Mehmet Nuri Ersoy, announced the tourism data for the third quarter of 2025 to the public at a press conference held at the Atatürk Cultural Center. Minister Ersoy emphasized that Turkey's tourism revenue in the first nine months of the year reached 50 billion dollars, marking the highest level in Turkey's history.

The revenue for the same period last year was 47.3 billion dollars. The revenue obtained this year is an indication of how quickly the tourism sector has recovered within just one year. Turkey’s growth in tourism, enriched with diverse destinations and products, has also been significantly influenced by promotional activities both domestically and abroad.

Minister Ersoy stated that significant steps have been taken in the development of the tourism sector, alongside the cultural and natural wealth Turkey offers. The opening of new facilities, the capacity increase of existing hotels, and the enhancement of the quality of hospitality services shape tourists' preferences towards Turkey. With its rich history, beautiful beaches, and hospitable people, Turkey increases its attractiveness in tourism by offering diverse experiences to its visitors.

Another factor behind this impressive figure is Turkey's unique geographical location, which it offers to the whole world. Our country has a rich tourism potential by bringing together different cultures due to its position at the crossroads of both European and Asian continents. Additionally, the development of niche areas such as health tourism and winter tourism also contributes significantly to the total revenue.

In line with the targets set for 2025, it is expected that Turkey will continue this success by prioritizing quality and sustainability in tourism. In this context, Turkey is striving to not only increase the current number of tourists but also to positively influence tourists' spending habits through new strategies.
