Sabancı Holding (SAHOL) has categorically denied reports that CarrefourSA (CRFSA) stores are to be sold to A101 and Anpagross. In a statement made to the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP), the company indicated that these claims do not reflect the truth. The statement read, “The claims regarding the division of CarrefourSA’s operations or the sale of store groups do not reflect the truth; therefore, there is no concrete, binding, or finalized decision regarding the disposal of CarrefourSA shares.”
Last week, a report published by Merger Market suggested that Anpagross would acquire CarrefourSA’s hypermarkets, while A101 would take over the supermarkets. However, Sabancı Holding's statement on this issue is considered a reassurance for investors.
Moreover, in October, there were claims that Sabancı Holding was considering leaving Teknosa (TKNSA) and CarrefourSA due to low net profit margin and equity profitability. This situation attracted investors' attention and led to various speculations regarding the company's future strategies.
Developments are of significant importance to market investors and analysts. Sabancı Holding's statement could eliminate uncertainties in the sector and refresh investors' confidence.
