


Digital Tails Group (DTG), a subsidiary of Bowmo, Inc., introduced a comprehensive case study related to a 3D visualization and product customization platform that radically redefines online customized cabinet designs in collaboration with The Cabinet Shop.
DTG developed a 3D configurator that seamlessly integrates with The Cabinet Shop's Shopify storefront, offering rules-based pricing. The system began with the design of the company's most popular product, cabinets, and has been built as a scalable structure to accommodate a full product catalog and future innovations like AI-driven configurations.
This initiative has established a strong digital infrastructure for sustainable growth by addressing many critical business challenges from the outset. Customers previously had to rely on manual forms and email communications. The new solution allows customers to instantly adjust their cabinets in terms of dimensions, surface finishes, and layouts directly on the website, providing visual and pricing information immediately.
In the past, The Cabinet Shop’s design team had to create custom drawings for nearly every request, leading to significant time loss. By automating standard configurations, the configurator allows designers to focus on complex and custom projects, significantly shortening the sales cycle.
Each configuration automatically generates specific production specifications. This eliminates costly errors and miscommunications, ensuring that delivered products align perfectly with customer expectations. A rules-based validation layer provides protection against incompatible combinations and input errors.
Beyond cabinets, The Cabinet Shop plans to expand into new furniture families such as media units, nightstands, and bookshelves. DTG's modular platform includes a main renderer and a flexible rules engine, allowing for easy expansion without the need for extensive redevelopment.
Instead of relying on a single entry point for customization, the system dynamically generates multiple pre-configured product pages. Each page is targeted to specific search intents, enhancing visibility and directing qualified traffic from various customer segments.
