Turkey achieved a dried tomato export of 108 million dollars in the first 10 months of 2025, once again demonstrating its strength in the sector. According to data from the Aegean Exporters' Associations (EİB), a total of 34,419 tons of dried tomatoes were sent to 98 countries during this period. Although there was a 11% decrease in quantity, an increase in prices to 3.16 dollars per ton ensured the preservation of export revenues.
EİB Coordinator Vice President and President of the Aegean Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Exporters' Association Hayrettin Uçak stated that the export level for 2024 has been maintained. Uçak expressed that their year-end target is 125 million dollars and highlighted efforts to strengthen Turkey's position in the dried tomato market.
These significant figures in Turkey’s dried tomato exports reflect not only economic but also agricultural production capacity. The Aegean Region has become an important center for dried tomato production due to its favorable climatic conditions. The high prices of dried tomatoes are motivating producers and expanding export potential.
The increasing global demand for dried tomatoes is further amplifying Turkey's export opportunities in this area. Especially in the European and Asian markets, growing interest in dried tomatoes from Turkey is consolidating the country’s position. Advancing technology and presentation methods are innovatively shaping marketing strategies for dried tomatoes, highlighting both quality and diversity.
This rise in dried tomato exports positively impacts not only the economy but also employment in the agricultural sector. Job opportunities created across various stages from production to export are contributing to local economies. The widespread adoption of sustainable agricultural practices is enhancing product quality while reinforcing Turkey's advantage in competitive market conditions.
