


Finance and Treasury Minister Mehmet Şimşek made important statements at the Finance Summit. He emphasized that market perceptions are relatively positive in a time when global economic uncertainties are increasing.
Şimşek expressed his belief that the trade tensions between the U.S. and China will gradually decrease over time. He noted that the global economy exhibits a resilient structure, and although trade may weaken, this situation has not reached a worrying level.
Minister Şimşek highlighted the positive developments in the disinflation process and stated that economies like Turkey will be supported by global conditions. He pointed out that favorable conditions for disinflation still exist and that there are long-term opportunities available.
Providing information about serious structural challenges faced in the long term, Şimşek noted that these challenges also contain opportunities. Additionally, he mentioned that housing supply has been increased and that the sector has entered a normalization process.
