Kibar Holding and EBRD: New Cooperation in Green Transformation

Kibar Holding's Strategic Partnership with EBRD

Kibar Holding is taking a significant step towards a comprehensive green transformation process, extending from industrial production to the supply chain, through collaborations with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) in line with its sustainability-focused growth strategy. Assan Aluminum, one of the group's companies, will implement low-carbon production investments with financial support from EBRD.

Low-Carbon Investments at Assan Aluminum

With the agreement, EBRD will provide 20 million Euros in long-term credit support to Assan Alüminyum Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş., supporting carbon reduction investments to be carried out at its Dilovası and Tuzla facilities. These investments include increasing the use of scrap, reducing energy and gas consumption, enhancing efficiency, and optimizing production processes.

The project qualifies as a 100% Green Economy Transition (YEG) and stands out with its compliance with the Paris Agreement and EU Taxonomy. Assan Aluminum also aims to strengthen its human resources policies and practices by developing a structured maintenance and support framework.

These new investments will not only increase Assan Aluminum's low-carbon production capacity but also support the company's competitiveness in international markets and its long-term resilience.
