


The International Finance Corporation (IFC), a World Bank institution that conducts private sector work, held the 'Sustainable Finance Leadership Training' program at Borsa İstanbul, gathering senior staff working in Turkey, Central Asia, the Middle East, and Europe.
The program was conducted with the gathering of 43 senior IFC officials representing 18 countries at the Borsa İstanbul campus, aiming to examine the changing dynamics of global sustainable finance. Throughout the training process, participants focused on methods for developing effective sustainable finance solutions. This aimed to contribute to the World Bank Group employees in developing strategies that promote economic growth by leveraging local capital markets and supporting job creation across the region.
At the program, representatives from Turkish Airlines shared insights on sustainability efforts in the aviation sector. Additionally, Beko representatives presented their sustainability strategies in the white goods sector to the participants. The speakers made detailed presentations on their companies' corporate sustainability strategies, priorities, challenges faced, and achievements obtained.
The training program concluded with interactive sessions that encouraged collaboration on global best practices among participants. The shared commitment to building a more resilient and sustainable financial future in Turkey and the region was emphasized through the discussions and interactions held.
