Hong Kong plans to introduce regulatory proposals for virtual asset sellers and custodians by 2026. This initiative aims to establish a licensing framework within the scope of anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism financing laws.
Additionally, the Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) of Hong Kong is considering expanding the scope of audits for virtual asset advisors and managers. Comments on this matter are expected to be submitted by January 23.
