Exxon Mobil Corporation (NYSE:XOM) Announces Third Quarter Results

Exxon Mobil Corporation has announced its third quarter 2025 results. The company reported a total net income of 7.5 billion dollars for the period, achieving earnings of 1.76 dollars per share. Cash flow from operations was recorded at 14.8 billion dollars, while free cash flow was noted as 6.3 billion dollars.

Exxon Mobil distributed 9.4 billion dollars to its shareholders in the third quarter and increased its fourth quarter dividend to 1.03 dollars per share. The company made land acquisitions in the Permian basin, expanded into the carbon materials market, and invested in computing power to support its growth objectives.

Exxon Mobil CEO Darren Woods stated, "We demonstrated strong performance in the third quarter and proved that we are in a different position compared to other players in the industry." He also added that they set a new production record in Guyana with a capacity of 700,000 barrels per day. Additionally, the company recorded nearly 1.7 million barrels of oil equivalent production in the Permian region.

Total earnings for the first nine months of the year reached 22.3 billion dollars, and with share buybacks, total shareholder distributions amounted to 27.8 billion dollars. The fourth quarter dividends have been increased continuously for 43 years without interruption.

As of the third quarter, capital expenditures stood at 8.6 billion dollars. Total capital expenditures for the year 2025 are expected to be slightly below the lower end of the band.
