


We have left behind an exciting week for investors. Especially in the foreign exchange side, gains have come to the forefront, while the movement in Borsa Istanbul continued.
The BIST 100 index closed this week with a 0.43 percent loss at the level of 10,924.53 points. During the weekly trading period, the lowest and highest levels recorded were 10,848.97 points and 11,152.28 points, respectively.
The technology index saw a 5.89 percent decrease, dropping to 25,218.76 points, while the industrial index fell 1.17 percent to 14,183.57 points. The services index was recorded at 10,991.15 points with a 0.05 percent loss. However, the financial index reached 15,631.67 points with a 0.09 percent increase.
Among the BIST 100, the biggest gainer was Işıklar Enerji ve Yapı Holding AŞ, with an increase of 40.01 percent. This was followed by Destek Finans Faktoring AŞ with 12.52 percent and Çan2 Termik with 11.98 percent. On the other hand, among the stocks that suffered losses, Grainturk Holding AŞ fell 28.66 percent, Tofaş declined 12.96 percent, and Kocaer Çelik decreased by 12.53 percent.
Among the most valuable companies in Borsa Istanbul, ASELSAN stands out with 844 billion 56 million lira, Garanti BBVA with 560 billion 700 million lira, and Enka İnşaat with 467 billion 400 million lira.
The price of 24-carat gold bullion fell 0.08 percent to 5,427.3 lira, while the Republic gold coin decreased 0.08 percent to 36,612 lira.
In the foreign exchange market, the selling price of the dollar increased by 0.39 percent to 42.2140 lira, while the euro rose 0.73 percent to 48.9150 lira. The British pound gained 0.57 percent, rising to 55.5060 lira from last week's 55.1920 lira level. The Swiss franc also increased 0.34 percent, trading at 52.5150 lira.
