"Minister Kurum's Unique Italy: Reconstruction Mobilization"

Minister of Environment, Urbanization, and Climate Change Murat Kurum stated that they are carrying out reconstruction and urban transformation efforts in Turkey's disaster areas at an unprecedented speed globally.

During his visit to Karabük, Minister Kurum conducted inspections in Kamiş village, which was heavily affected by forest fires. He shared important information about the construction of disaster housing for citizens whose homes were damaged in the disaster that occurred in July during the groundbreaking ceremony.

Kurum mentioned that a total of 35 village houses and 2 barns have started to be built in Karabük. He emphasized that these projects will not only create new living spaces but will also lay the foundations for a new future for the disaster victims.

The Minister stated, "We are not only building new housing here, but we are also laying the foundations for a new future. We are constructing resilient and modern living spaces suitable for village life that support production for our disaster-affected brothers and sisters. God willing, we will deliver the houses whose foundations we will lay today to our citizens next summer," he said.

Kurum indicated that the ongoing efforts in this context demonstrate Turkey's determination and dynamism in the field of urban transformation. He also touched upon the economic dimension of the project, in addition to its social impacts. The reconstruction process not only involves the construction of housing but also aims to enhance economic vitality in the region and strengthen social ties.

This mobilization aimed at healing the wounds after past disasters and reducing disaster risk seems to consolidate Turkey's leading position in the construction sector.
