


Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz made significant statements at the ATONET Smart Assistant World Champion Launch Program organized by the Ankara Chamber of Commerce (ATO) at ATO Congresium.
Yılmaz stated that ATO has demonstrated a strong transformation will by blending its deep-rooted history with an innovative vision. He emphasized that this approach has turned ATO into a strategic intelligence center that anticipates the future in the dynamic structure of trade and the changing rules of global competition.
He noted that the recognition of the ATONET Smart Assistant Project as the world champion has made a significant contribution to Turkey’s digital competitiveness. Additionally, he stated that digitalization is reshaping economic sizes, competitive power, and the maneuverability of states.
Yılmaz said, "This transformation, ranging from production to trade, from public management to global value chains, must place digitalization and artificial intelligence at the center of Turkey's development strategy."
Comparing the current situation to the pre-pandemic period, Yılmaz emphasized that Turkey's manufacturing industry production has increased by 30.6%. He expressed that Turkey has now become one of the leading manufacturing centers in Europe.
Currently, in terms of added value in the manufacturing industry, Turkey ranks 14th in the world. This success is a result of the industry's adoption of digitalization and scaling production with technology.
Yılmaz stated that they aim to build the Turkey Century with an artificial intelligence-focused transformation. He mentioned that the e-Government system has now reached 68 million users, providing access to 95% of the population. With these successes, Turkey is in a significant position as an exporter in e-government and digital fields.
He also noted that Turkey's R&D expenditures will rise to 19.9 billion dollars, indicating that this issue is crucial for sustainable economic performance.
Yılmaz stated that the e-commerce volume, which was 136 billion lira in 2019, is expected to reach 3 trillion lira by 2024, predicting that digital transformation will accelerate. He emphasized the need for cooperation among the public sector, private sector, and professional organizations to expedite this process.
