


A comprehensive restructuring process initiated by a Presidential Decree aims to strengthen the dynamic structure of public bureaucracy in Turkey. Significant changes have been implemented based on the decisions published in the Official Gazette dated January 31, 2026, concerning ministries and foreign representations.
With the new appointments, Hasan Suver has been assigned as the Chief Advisor to the Presidency while continuing his role as the Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change.
Barkın Kayaoğlu has been appointed to the Turkish Republic Embassy in the Republic of Malta as the Deputy General Director of Protocol, while Bilgin Özkan, Deputy General Director for Southeast Asia and the Pacific, has been appointed to the Turkish Republic Embassy in Papua New Guinea.
The appointments of imams within the Presidency of Religious Affairs in 13 provinces are as follows:
In the Ministry of Family and Social Services, the Provincial Director of Konya, Abdullah Neşeli, has been removed from office, and Arif Topal, the Provincial Director of Yozgat, has been appointed in his place. Additionally, Müslüm Ferdi Bozkurt has been assigned to the Kilis Provincial Directorate, and Emre Çalğan to the Kahramanmaraş Provincial Directorate.
In the Ministry of Justice, İbrahim Atakur has been appointed as the Chief Inspector to the vacant position of Chief Inspector, while in the Ministry of National Education, Soner Uluay and Zülküf Temin have been appointed to Chief Inspector positions. Furthermore, Yusuf Soner Çiftçioğlu has been appointed as a Member of the Board of the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office, and Uzm. Dr. Hüseyin Çağrı Şahin has been elected as a Forensic Medicine Member of the Tenth Specialization Board.
