According to the data from the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT), foreign investors conducted significant sales of stocks abroad in the past month. In the week of October 24, it was announced that these investors sold stocks worth a net 118.5 million dollars. This situation is considered a noteworthy development in terms of its impact on the markets.

In addition, during the same period, foreign investors carried out sales of Government Domestic Debt Securities (GDDS) worth 441.8 million dollars. The activity of foreign investors in GDDS stands out as an important indicator regarding Turkey's borrowing strategy.

Moreover, the assets of non-Resident General Government (ÖST) held by foreign investors were sold for 27.6 million dollars. This situation may indicate a change in the behavior of investors regarding different asset classes.

Market analysts state that various factors lie behind these foreign sales that have been ongoing for the past month. Turkey's economic indicators, fluctuations in exchange rates, and increasing geopolitical risks are considered elements that directly influence foreign investors' decisions.

In particular, the uncertainty surrounding exchange rates seems to have reduced investors' risk appetite. This situation has become a factor that directly affects the pricing behaviors and investment strategies in the Turkish stock market. Additionally, the depreciation of the Turkish lira has also led foreign investors to question their levels of confidence in the Turkish market.

The positions foreign investors take when selling stocks and the sectors they prefer are also noteworthy. Financial centers in Turkey have begun to closely monitor which areas investors are focusing on and which stocks they have put up for sale during this process. These developments may provide important clues about Turkey's investment climate and the state of international markets.
