UAE's Largest Fuel Retailer to Accept Stablecoin

ADNOC Distribution announced that it will accept payments in AE Coin stablecoin at 980 service stations located in the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt.

The company partnered with Al Maryah Community Bank to enable AE Coin payments at fuel pumps, supermarkets, and car wash areas through the AEC Wallet.

AE Coin is the UAE's first licensed stablecoin by the Central Bank, backed 1:1 by the dirham. This development is considered a significant step towards the integration of digital payments into everyday retail transactions.
