Turkey's Agricultural Exports Reach a Record: Exceeded 10 Billion Dollars

According to the latest statements made by the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM), the cereals, legumes, and oilseeds sector achieved significant success in international markets in the first ten months of 2023. The total export quantity to 219 countries and free zones was recorded as 9 million 565 thousand 666 tons.

Interestingly, while there was a decrease of 5.3% in export quantity compared to the same period last year, the value obtained showed an increase of 4.3%. The total revenue was determined to be 10 billion 135 million 630 thousand dollars. This situation indicates that the export potential and value of the sector are on the rise.

With its rapidly developing agricultural sector, our country is continuously increasing its capacity to meet global demands. The combination of high-quality production and traditional methods helps Turkish agriculture reach a more competitive position in the international arena. Additionally, developments in the construction and industrial sectors contribute to supporting agricultural production, thereby enhancing product diversity and quality.

In particular, cereals and legumes play a critical role in Turkey’s agricultural exports. Our country is positioned as a significant wheat producer globally, enabling Turkish farmers to maintain a presence in international markets.
