Road Closures for the Commemoration Ceremony at Anıtkabir in Ankara

Tomorrow, on the 87th anniversary of his passing, the founder of our Republic, Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, will be commemorated at Anıtkabir with a special event. Due to this event, it has been reported that certain roads will be closed as part of the security measures taken by the Ankara Police Department.

Which Roads Will Be Closed?

According to the announcement, starting from 01:00, the following roads will be closed to vehicle traffic in both directions:

• GMK Boulevard


• Anıt Avenue


• Youth Avenue


• Mediterranean Avenue


• Marshal Fevzi Çakmak Avenue


• Dögol Avenue


• Sports Park Avenue


• Turgut Reis Avenue


• Kazım Karabekir Avenue (variants connecting to Celal Bayar Boulevard)


• Celal Bayar Boulevard (variants connecting to Kazım Karabekir Avenue)

Additionally, vehicle traffic will not be allowed on the section of Kazım Karabekir Avenue between Anadolu Square and Celal Bayar Boulevard. It is recommended to utilize alternative routes during the period when these roads will be closed.
