Action Started for the Rights of Civil Servants

Members of Türkiye Kamu-Sen held a press conference in front of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM) to announce their demand for additional raises for civil servants and retirees.

Urgency Before Budget Discussions

Reminding that the 2026 budget will be discussed in the TBMM starting Friday, Türkiye Kamu-Sen General Chairman Önder Kahveci stated, "However, there is no trace of the labor of civil servants and retirees in that budget. The current figures are a injustice hidden behind targets and dreams."

The Rights of Public Employees Must Be Protected

Kahveci emphasized that just as public institutions protect their own receivables, they must also protect the rights of civil servants, continuing as follows:

"The public sector must share the rates of transactions it performs with the public. We want you to apply the rates you apply to public receivables to our civil servants and retirees as well. Additional raises for public employees should be given, a share of prosperity should be added to salaries, the lost purchasing power should be compensated, and the inequality of status should come to an end."
