The Turkish furniture industry plans to achieve an export of over 4.5 billion dollars in 2023, while also aiming to raise its target even higher for 2026. The goal is to establish a stronger presence in the international market with an export figure exceeding 5 billion dollars.
This year, the 53rd international furniture fair MODEF EXPO, held annually in İnegöl, Bursa, brought together industry professionals once again. This fair serves as an important platform for showcasing the potential of the Turkish furniture sector and gaining a competitive position in the global market.
Ahmet Güleç, Deputy Chairman of the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM) and President of the Furniture Associations Federation (MOSFED), stated in his remarks that the Turkish furniture sector currently exports to more than 200 countries. This situation demonstrates the high growth potential within the sector.
Goals are not limited to figures alone. In an environment where competition in the global furniture market is increasing, Turkish furniture manufacturers prioritize improving quality and developing innovative approaches in design as primary objectives. The sector is continuously striving to enhance itself to meet customer needs.
In order to support the increase in exports, government support and financial incentives are also of great importance. The Turkish furniture sector's rapid implementation of necessary actions to boost its export potential will contribute to achieving these goals in the coming years.
In summary, while aiming for growth in both local and international markets, the Turkish furniture sector seeks to be a significant player on the global stage with high export figures. Future goals will be supported by an innovative approach and a commitment to quality production.
