


U.S. President Donald Trump announced that they officially recognized Saudi Arabia as a "Major Non-NATO Ally" and stated that an important strategic defense agreement has been signed between the two countries.
Trump highlighted the strengthening of relationships between the two countries during a dinner held in honor of Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. He expressed his gratitude to renowned football player Cristiano Ronaldo, who attended the dinner.
The U.S. President thanked the Crown Prince for the promise of a $1 trillion investment from Saudi Arabia to the U.S. This investment is expected to create thousands of new jobs and enhance security between the two countries.
Trump emphasized that with the said defense agreement, Saudi Arabia will purchase approximately $140 billion worth of weapons and ammunition from the U.S., highlighting that this is a benefit for both countries.
In his speech, Trump also mentioned the ceasefire in Gaza, stating that the war ended with contributions from countries including Saudi Arabia. He said that the reconstruction of Gaza will take place with the cooperation of these countries.
In this context, he recalled the long duration taken for the establishment of the "Peace Board" in Gaza, approved by the United Nations Security Council, and emphasized the success of this process.
Later, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman took the podium to thank Trump for hosting him, expressing that the economic cooperation between Saudi Arabia and the U.S. will deepen further. "We feel at home here," said Bin Salman.
