


Turkey is implementing a 3-year additional financial obligation type protective measure for the import of yarns produced from nylon and other polyamides. The official decision published in the Official Gazette aims to regulate imports through this application.
As a result of the carried out protective measure investigation, an additional financial obligation of 0.24 USD, 0.23 USD, and 0.22 USD per kilogram will be applied for the import of nylon and polyamide yarns under customs tariff statistical positions (CTSP) number 5402.31, 5402.32, 5402.51, and 5402.61, starting from November 21, 2023.
Additionally, for the product titled "others, made of nylon and other polyamides" under CTSP number 5402.45, an additional financial obligation of 0.0475 USD, 0.045 USD, and 0.0425 USD per kilogram will also be applied starting from the same date.
With the presidential decision, a tariff quota has been defined for countries and customs regions exempt from the protective measure application. A total quota of 2,986 tons has been set for imports from these countries for each period, while the amount granted for each country and customs region is limited to 995 tons.
