Turkish Airlines (THY) Chairman Ahmet Bolat announced that the company has completed its new aircraft orders. Bolat stated that they may announce leasing agreements for 30 new aircraft as part of their plans to grow the fleet.
In an interview with Bloomberg in Istanbul, Bolat mentioned plans for a major meeting with Boeing, GE, Safran, and CFM regarding engines. He emphasized that this meeting would provide significant opportunities for finalizing engine agreements and pointed out the monopolization situation among engine manufacturers in the industry.
Bolat expressed that there are no new acquisition or merger plans, but they are looking for new partnerships to grow in the U.S. and Asian markets. Additionally, he conveyed their satisfaction with the current partnership structure with Sunexpress.
Speaking about global tariffs, Bolat said, "The cargo business unit may be affected, but the impact is likely to remain largely insignificant."
