The Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT) will present the fourth Inflation Report of 2023 at a meeting to be held on Friday, November 7, in Istanbul. This report is of great importance as it contains current forecasts regarding inflation, one of the critical indicators of the Turkish economy.
CBRT President Fatih Karahan will hold an information meeting at 10:30 AM at the CBRT headquarters located in the Istanbul Financial Center to introduce the “Inflation Report 2025-IV.” Economic experts, market analysts, and investors will closely follow the data announced at the meeting. Attendance will be provided physically, and the meeting will be broadcast live via the CBRT's official website, social media accounts, and YouTube channel.
In the previous inflation report, the CBRT had set the inflation forecast for the end of 2025 in the range of 25 to 29 percent. For the end of 2026, this forecast was announced to be in the range of 13 to 19 percent. It is eagerly awaited by economists and market players whether there will be an update to these forecasts in the new report, especially considering the current trend of inflation.
Inflation Reports are among the critical documents that outline Turkey's economic policies and influence investment decisions. The course of annual inflation rates guides the Central Bank's monetary policy implementations and shapes market expectations. This report will serve as an important litmus test regarding potential new decisions related to inflation targeting.
