


The Turkish economy is preparing to host an important flow of data in the last days of January and during February. The Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) will announce the labor force statistics for the December 2025 period on January 29. As of November 2025, the unemployment rate had increased by 0.1 percentage points compared to the previous month, reaching %8.6. On the same day, TÜİK will also share the economic confidence index data for January with the public.
Another important announcement will take place on January 30. TÜİK will provide information about Turkey's tourism revenue by releasing the tourism statistics for the last quarter of the previous year. In the third quarter of the previous year, tourism revenue had increased by %3.9 compared to the same period of the previous year, exceeding 24.2 billion dollars.
On February 2, Trade Minister Ömer Bolat will hold a meeting in Istanbul to announce the foreign trade data for January. Turkey's exports reached 26.4 billion dollars in December 2025, breaking records both on a monthly and annual basis. Additionally, according to the inflation data to be announced on February 3, the Consumer Price Index (CPI) inflation had increased by %0.89 on a monthly basis in December 2025, with the annual inflation recorded at %30.89.
The population data of Turkey as of 2025 will be finalized on February 6. As of October 1, 2025, Turkey's population had exceeded 85 million 980 thousand. Furthermore, the real return rates of financial investment instruments for January will be announced on February 9.
TÜİK will announce the construction cost and industrial production index for the December 2025 period, as well as livestock production statistics, on February 10. These data will provide significant insights into the current status of the sectors. The Ministry of Treasury and Finance will announce the budget realizations for January on February 16. Additionally, the first Inflation Report of the year is expected to be released by the Central Bank on February 12, while balance of payments data will be published on February 13.
It is anticipated that the statements regarding customs tariffs made by US President Donald Trump will continue to have effects on the global economy in February. Furthermore, due to the upcoming Ramadan month, food and price inspections are expected to be increased by the ministries.
