Şişecam (SISE) started the day with a decline of over 2% in the market. After approaching a nearly 3% drop following the opening, the shares pulled back slightly, trading at 33.84 TL with a decrease of 2.03% as of 10:10 AM.
This decline in Şişecam shares is directly related to allegations raised in connection with the ongoing investigation into Can Holding. The company’s Chairman of the Board, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Kırman, has been announced to provide a statement under the label of "suspect." Additionally, it has been reported that a "travel ban" has been imposed on Kırman as a judicial control measure.
Allegations that the investigation could extend to İş Bankası (ISCTR) have caused concerns in the markets. This situation has led to declines in both İş Bankası and Şişecam shares. However, İş Bankası firmly denied the allegations. In light of these developments, ISCTR shares have experienced a significant decline of 6.90% over the past week and 21.12% over the past month.
Şişecam’s own share performance is also noteworthy. It has been observed that the company has lost 3.09% in value over the past week and 12.63% over the past month.
This situation creates uncertainty for investors, indicating that careful consideration is necessary before making investment decisions.
