The Polish government has reintroduced a cryptocurrency law that was vetoed by President Karol Nawrocki. Prime Minister Donald Tusk is encouraging the passage of the bill. This situation is coming to the forefront in connection with national security concerns regarding Russia and former Soviet states.
The proposed Crypto Assets Market Law aims to align Poland's regulations with the European Union's Regulation on Markets in Crypto Assets (MiCA) regime. The draft law seeks to provide a unified supervisory framework for crypto assets.
On the other hand, President Nawrocki argues that the strict regulations, which were cited as reasons for the veto, pose a threat to the freedom and stability of Polish citizens.
