Bloomberg HT's January Inflation Survey Results

Bloomberg HT has announced the results of its inflation survey conducted for the January 2024 period. The median expectation of the 16 institutions involved in the survey is that inflation will occur at a monthly rate of 4.28% in January.

Annual Inflation Expectations

According to economists' calculations, the annual inflation is expected to be at approximately 30% by January. For the year 2026, the inflation expectation is determined to be 23.45%.

Monthly Inflation Expectations

In January, the lowest monthly forecast for inflation is recorded at 3.90%, while the highest forecast reaches 4.7%. For annual inflation, the highest estimate is 39.40%, and the lowest estimate is 29.6%.

Inflation Projections for 2026

Survey participants also shared their inflation predictions for the end of 2026. Accordingly, the inflation expectation is 23.45%, with the highest forecast at 25% and the lowest forecast at 22.5%.

Performance of the Previous Month

On the other hand, in the December 2023 period, the Consumer Price Index (CPI) had an increase of 0.89% monthly and 30.89% annually.
