NVIDIA Corporation (NASDAQ:NVDA) and Samsung Electronics Co Ltd (LON:0593xq) have announced plans to establish a new artificial intelligence factory that integrates smart computing with chip production.

The state-of-the-art facility will be powered by over 50,000 NVIDIA GPUs and will be at the center of Samsung's digital transformation. NVIDIA founder and CEO Jensen Huang stated, "We are on the brink of an AI industrial revolution — a new era that will redefine the design, construction, and production of the world."

Samsung Electronics Chairman Jay Y. Lee noted that the partnership between the companies dates back to 1995, and that Samsung provided DRAM for NVIDIA's first graphics card.

This collaboration aims to establish a global standard for scaled AI-focused semiconductor production. The system will provide data integration from physical equipment and production workflows to improve operational efficiency in predictive maintenance and autonomous factory environments.

Samsung is utilizing NVIDIA's Omniverse platform to create digital twins of its factories worldwide. This will shorten the time between design and operations. The company is also deploying NVIDIA RTX PRO Servers with RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell Server Version GPUs to accelerate smart logistics.

For computational lithography, Samsung has achieved 20 times higher performance in semiconductor manufacturing processes by integrating NVIDIA's cuLitho library into its advanced lithography platform.

The partnership extends beyond manufacturing to include robotics technologies and mobile devices. Samsung is using NVIDIA robotic technologies on RTX PRO Servers to shape the future of intelligent robotics in production automation and humanoid robot applications.

The companies are also collaborating with Korean telecom operators and academic institutions to develop the AI-RAN network technology that combines artificial intelligence and mobile network loads.

This announcement follows NVIDIA's other collaborations in South Korea, including partnerships with SK Group and Hyundai Motor Group, as well as a broader initiative with the South Korean government to build AI infrastructure in the country.
