NVIDIA is Increasing AI Investments with South Korea.

NVIDIA Corporation (NASDAQ:NVDA) aims to expand South Korea's artificial intelligence infrastructure by collaborating with the South Korean government and leading industrial companies. To this end, it is planned to use 260,000 NVIDIA GPUs in public clouds and artificial intelligence factories.

The South Korean Ministry of Science and ICT plans to distribute 50,000 of the latest NVIDIA GPUs by investing in the national artificial intelligence infrastructure. This distribution will be carried out through the National Artificial Intelligence Computing Center and Korean cloud providers such as NAVER Cloud, NHN Cloud, and Kakao Corp.

Additionally, several major Korean companies are making significant investments. Samsung Electronics is establishing an artificial intelligence factory that includes over 50,000 NVIDIA GPUs to enhance semiconductor production and artificial intelligence integration.

SK Group is developing Asia's first industrial artificial intelligence cloud, which includes NVIDIA RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell Server Edition GPUs, as well as an artificial intelligence factory that also contains 50,000 NVIDIA GPUs.

Hyundai Motor (KS:005380) is collaborating with NVIDIA to establish an artificial intelligence factory with 50,000 NVIDIA Blackwell GPUs to advance AI-focused mobility solutions. This investment is estimated to be worth approximately $3 billion. Additionally, NAVER Cloud is expanding its infrastructure with more than 60,000 GPUs for corporate and physical AI workloads.

Jensen Huang, the founder and CEO of NVIDIA, stated, "Korea stands at the forefront of the industrial revolution in artificial intelligence, with its leadership in technology and manufacturing; accelerated computing infrastructure is as vital as electric grids and broadband."

This announcement came as world leaders gathered in South Korea for the APEC Summit. It aims to support Korea's national strategy to become one of the top three artificial intelligence powers in the world.

Furthermore, NVIDIA is collaborating with South Korean institutions on developing AI-RAN and 6G infrastructure in partnership with Samsung, SK Telecom, ETRI, KT, LGU+, and Yonsei University.

To promote economic development, NVIDIA and its partners are forming an alliance to support entrepreneurs through the NVIDIA Inception program. This alliance provides startups with access to computing infrastructure, software, and expertise.
