Australia's leading Neocloud company SHARON AI has signed an agreement with NEXTDC to significantly expand its data center network. This new agreement will provide an additional 50MW of capacity, contributing to NEXTDC's data center network in Australia and the Asia-Pacific region.
NEXTDC CEO Craig Scroggie stated, "AI infrastructure is the foundation of the intelligence economy." SHARON AI, in collaboration with NVIDIA, has developed high-density GPU capacity focused on speed and scale for artificial intelligence. This collaboration highlights the rapid momentum of global AI development and the importance of secure, sovereign infrastructure in supporting this growth.
This capacity agreement also supports SHARON AI's existing GPU cluster deployments in Australia, providing access to the SHARON AI Supercluster built at the NEXTDC M3 Tier IV data center in Melbourne. The new capacity will have the ability to host over 20,000 NVIDIA B200, B300, or GB300 GPUs.
Wolf Schubert, SHARON AI CEO, expressed, "We are excited to expand our relationship with NEXTDC and are building additional sovereign AI GPU compute infrastructure in Australia." This capacity expansion agreement will greatly increase our GPU fleet and cloud offerings for business, government, and research customers in the region and beyond.
