


Brad Smith, Vice Chairman and President of Microsoft, shared details of the investments to be made for the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in a blog post.
It was noted that an artificial intelligence initiative was launched about two and a half years ago, supported by the governments of the US and the UAE. As part of this initiative, Microsoft aims to invest a total of 15.2 billion dollars in the UAE between 2023 and 2030.
The post states that by the end of 2023, more than 7.3 billion dollars will be invested in the UAE. This investment figure includes a 1.5 billion dollar capital investment in the artificial intelligence company G42, expenditures exceeding 4.6 billion dollars on advanced artificial intelligence and cloud data centers, as well as local operating expenses and the cost of goods sold.
It is expressed that more than 7.9 billion dollars will be spent in the UAE from the beginning of next year until the end of 2029. This amount includes over 5.5 billion dollars of capital expenditure for the expansion of artificial intelligence and cloud infrastructure, along with new steps to be announced in Abu Dhabi. Additionally, approximately 2.4 billion dollars for planned local operating expenses and the cost of goods sold is also included in this figure.
