


Istanbul Food Wholesalers Market (IGTOT) Chairman Mustafa Karlı emphasized that the market is one of the largest food markets in Europe, noting that they provide service with a parking capacity of 2,300 vehicles and that access to all kinds of food is available here.
Wholesale dairy products seller Onur Sefa Çakıloğlu stated that they have kept prices stable throughout the month of Ramadan. Accordingly, a fixed price application has started for dairy products, meat products, and delicatessen items. Çakıloğlu said, “Our citizens mainly consume white cheese, fresh kaşar, and sliced kaşar during sahur. Additionally, there is a significant interest in meat products such as kavurma, sausage, and pastirma.”
Çakıloğlu also provided information about date prices, saying, “Date prices start from 100 lira and can go up to 600-700 lira. There are no high prices like 1,200 lira at wholesalers. The most sought-after Medine dates are also around 600-700 lira.”
Dry food wholesaler Adem Lenger announced that they have kept prices stable for essential food products such as chickpeas, lentils, and bulgur. Adding that they have fixed the price of 18 liters of sunflower oil at 1,600 lira, Lenger stated, “We set the price of dry beans at 60 lira, bulgur at 32 lira, domestic red lentils at 80 lira, and green lentils at 75 lira.”
