


IC İçtaş İnşaat announced that it has signed a contract worth a total of 420 million euros in Romania.
The company has reached an agreement for the construction of the "Craiova – Caransebeș" railway line's Lot-6 section, which plays a critical role in Romania's integration processes into the European Union. This project will be developed in addition to the Lot-4 section that has already been undertaken.
With the new contract, IC İçtaş İnşaat's project portfolio in Romania will reach a total of 880 million euros.
İbrahim Dönmez stated regarding the project, "The undertaking of both sections demonstrates our international competence and the confidence in Turkish engineering. We will continue to contribute to European transport infrastructure with our innovative solutions," he expressed.
The Lot-6 section encompasses the rehabilitation of a 37-kilometer line extending south from the Caransebeș city. The project will be executed in cooperation with local partner Rotary and will take a total of 75 months. The first 12 months will be for design, 60 months for construction, and 3 months for commissioning processes.
The project includes significant works such as the construction of two new tunnels, rehabilitation of two existing tunnels, and the renewal of a total of 19 bridges. Additionally, the modernization of 7 stations and various infrastructure improvements will be carried out to enhance the quality of this line.
