Green Light from the EU Commission for SOCAR Terminal

The European Union Commission has approved the acquisition of joint control of SOCAR Aliağa Port Operations Inc. ('SOCAR Terminal') by SOCAR Turkey Energy Inc. ('STEAS'), MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company Holding S.A., and BlackRock Inc., which jointly control Terminal Investment Switzerland Sàrl ('TISS').

No Competition Concerns

The EU Commission concluded that the transaction would not raise any competition issues after evaluating its impact on the European Economic Area. Thus, a positive decision has been made for SOCAR Terminal.
