Highest Monthly Inflation Since January 2025

According to the data from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK), as of January 2025, the monthly inflation rate accelerated after being adjusted for seasonal effects. During the month, the inflation rate was recorded at %2.88, clearly exceeding the previous month's rate of %1.65.

Where Were the Significant Price Increases Observed?

When the sub-components are examined, the most striking increase occurred in the fresh fruits and vegetables group, with a rise of %9.97. On the other hand, within the services sector, the highest increase was observed in communication services at %5.35.

Core Goods and Services Inflation is Rising

For the month of January, the core goods inflation was %2.45, while the services inflation stood at %2.67.
