According to data from AA, digital applications are increasingly becoming widespread to ensure voluntary tax compliance among taxpayers. In this context, electronic services such as e-Declaration, Digital Tax Office, e-Ledger, e-Invoice, Ledger Declaration System, and e-Notification are accelerating taxpayers' business processes.
Taxpayers can access many applications such as Ready Declaration System, Ledger Declaration System, and e-declaration through the Digital Tax Office. The system, which operates like a physical tax office (Digital Tax Office), has reached a total of 208 services offered. Transactions such as document preparation, bookkeeping, declaration and notification submission, tax payment, and debt inquiry are provided electronically.
Thanks to the e-Declaration system implemented for the last 20 years, more than 1.8 billion declarations have been received to date. With this application, the paper savings have exceeded 3.5 billion lira. Additionally, under the e-Invoice system, 1.9 million taxpayers issued approximately 800 million documents in the first 9 months of this year. All taxpayers will have the opportunity to issue e-Invoices starting in 2026.
The e-notification application allows notifications to be sent to taxpayers' electronic addresses. So far, this system has been used by 11.8 million people, with 47 million notifications delivered electronically in the first 9 months of the year. With the e-notification application, a total of 243 million documents have been served electronically, resulting in savings of 51 billion lira.
Taxpayers can also make their payments electronically along with their document transactions. These transactions can be carried out through the Digital Tax Office and the GIB mobile application, using credit and debit cards from partner banks or via mobile banking channels.
