


Trade Minister Ömer Bolat announced that as of January 2026, the trade deficit has increased by 11.2%, reaching 8.4 billion dollars. This figure signifies a remarkable rise compared to the same month of the previous year.
According to Minister Bolat's information, the annualized trade deficit has been recorded at 92.9 billion dollars. As of January 2025, this figure was 83.6 billion dollars.
Bolat reported that as of the third quarter of 2025, the annualized share of global exports was 1.05%. Additionally, due to an increase in goods exports in the first 10 months of the previous year, a net growth of 11.7 billion dollars was recorded in goods exports for 2025.
