DCAI's Innovative Step

DCAI, the artificial intelligence infrastructure firm known for Denmark's AI supercomputer Gefion, has announced its support for NVIDIA NVQLink. This new open reference architecture is considered a significant step towards connecting GPU-based supercomputers with quantum processors (QPUs). DCAI aims to be ready for a future where artificial intelligence and quantum computing work side by side.

NVQLink enables hybrid workflows that combine AI-driven data processing with quantum algorithms by providing ultra-low latency and high data throughput between classical and quantum systems. Integrated with the NVIDIA CUDA-Q platform, NVQLink allows developers to manage both types of computing resources through a consolidated software environment in real time. NVQLink acts as a Rosetta Stone that unites quantum and classical supercomputers into a single system.

DCAI's CEO Nadia Carlsten stated, "We believe that the future of computing will involve artificial intelligence and quantum computing working in harmony. NVIDIA’s Quantum General Manager Tim Costa remarked, "NVIDIA NVQLink bridges the gap between tomorrow's integrated quantum-GPU supercomputers." He emphasized that the work at DCAI helps bring hybrid quantum-classical computing into practical use and provides researchers and businesses with access to integrated quantum-GPU systems to accelerate discovery.

Significant Steps in Quantum Collaboration

DCAI has made significant contributions to the advancement of quantum computing. Through collaboration with Ansys and NVIDIA, DCAI's Gefion supercomputer performed GPU-accelerated simulations of quantum algorithms for flow dynamics engineering applications on a potential 39-qubit system. This demonstrates how artificial intelligence and quantum computing can combine to accelerate real engineering workflows.

Additionally, DCAI supports groundbreaking research at the University of Copenhagen. Researchers conducted a noise-free quantum computer simulation with 40 qubits using the Gefion supercomputer, achieving over 100% improvement in algorithmic efficiency. The project explored drug binding simulations for cancer research and future hybrid quantum-classical architectures. This reinforces DCAI's commitment to integrating artificial intelligence and quantum computing for practical, high-impact research.

Thanks to the NVQLink initiative, DCAI further solidifies its role as a European hub for advanced computing in Denmark, supporting a growing community of researchers and innovators exploring the convergence of artificial intelligence and quantum technologies.
